Turkey Giveaway
Come and join us for our annual Turkey Giveaway event, where we provide individuals with disabilities a free Thanksgiving turkey to take home and enjoy with their families. Our goal is to spread joy and show our support for those in our community who may face unique challenges during the holiday season. We welcome everyone to come out and enjoy the festivities!
Building community relations and collective giving are vital aspects of the ASK mission. Many of our members are, or were, members of NWTF and a tradition we have carried on is givingaway turkeys to needy families at Thanksgiving. We conduct special raffles, rely on donations, and work with local vendors to get the best prices so we can ensure a meal is at the table of as many families as possible. During these past five years alone, we have given away over17,000 pounds of turkey; supporting over 1,400 needy families from surrounding churches and charities.
